Hi, really looking for advice here please,
Im M58 i had HPV tonsil cancer 3 years ago, now i have a 47mm spiculated mass in my left lung.
Im an ex smoker gave up at 26 but ive vaped for the last 9 years to try and help with stress/ anxiety etc.
I know its not confirmed as cancer but im nearly certain it is, ive lost a stone in weight recently (but i wasnt eating properly due to a family loss) and cough at night, i do not cough blood or get short of breath and im not tired during the day.
Could someone inform me of my options please, the tonsil cancer treatment was horrendous so im not sure what i will be able to do now as radiation treatment may no longer be an option given my dosage.
I suppose my questions at the moment are.
1. Has this spread from my last cancer and just was not cleared out properly by the chemo and RAD treatment
2. Could the RAD treatment of caused it
3. Could the vaping have caused it
4. What will be the treatment options available to me if its contained in my lung
5. What are the treatment options available to me if its spread.
6. At 47mm have i left it too late
Thank you
Hi Mark
I am sorry to hear of your previous tonsil cancer and that you are now concerned about possible lung cancer symptoms.
We are not medically trained on here and it may be an idea for you to give the Support Line a call and talk to one of the nurses who may be able to advise you. This would be the quickest way to get answers.
You are also welcome to post your questions in the Ask a nurse section on here, although it may take 3 working days to get a reply.
