I’ve just had my first round of chemo following lung surgery and honestly feel as if I’m experiencing an out of body experience and this isn’t happening to me .. I imagine this is quite normal in the early stages of treatment.. am I right? Also the nausea is just kicking in See no evil

  • I wasn't a candidate for surgery.  My doctor did mention there was no reason for anyone to get sick from chemo anymore.  She said there are a lot of medications out there and if one doesn't work then you try another.  I was blessed that I never felt sick.  That seems like it would be the worst.  Keep trying different medications until you find one that works.

  • Hello Pats,

I've had chemo twice for different things and each time was given a 'phone number of the chemo unit helpline to use if I had any problems. It was available 24 hours a day and hope you were given the same, in which case if you're struggling it might be a good idea to call them?

    I hope you get sorted.
