I’ve just had my first round of chemo following lung surgery and honestly feel as if I’m experiencing an out of body experience and this isn’t happening to me .. I imagine this is quite normal in the early stages of treatment.. am I right? Also the nausea is just kicking in
I wasn't a candidate for surgery. My doctor did mention there was no reason for anyone to get sick from chemo anymore. She said there are a lot of medications out there and if one doesn't work then you try another. I was blessed that I never felt sick. That seems like it would be the worst. Keep trying different medications until you find one that works.
Hello Pats,
I've had chemo twice for different things and each time was given a 'phone number of the chemo unit helpline to use if I had any problems. It was available 24 hours a day and hope you were given the same, in which case if you're struggling it might be a good idea to call them?
I hope you get sorted.
