Hi
I am awaiting my results of the biopsy to confirm my condition why does one keep lossing weight is that normal with cancer
Hello Welshlad,
Not sure if it's to do with the Cancer as such. I lost mine due to stress nearly two stone. I am now having treatment immunotherapy and have put the weight back on. Maybe someone on this forum might be able to help you. Good luck.
Hi, weight loss is quite normal in people with cancer. There can be various reasons, low appetite, stress and worry etc.
In my case before diagnosis I hadn't lost any weight, but after diagnosis and subsequent treatment I lost a bit of weight because of anxiety about the diagnosis and also the treatment I had made me lose my appetite, hence a bit of weight loss.
Good luck with your results.
Ann
I think they record your weight at follow-ups to keep an eye on things - loss shows that something is not quite right and may be a red flag, an indication for further investigation?
