Hi im new to the forum.
my husband has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has been put straight on to palliative care.
months rather than years id his prognosis

  • Hi

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. Palliative care can be really effective in prolonging life, in some cases by years. Don't give up just yet, palliative care is different to end of life care, but not knowing your husband's diagnosis and prognosis, which his cancer team would have told him, it's difficult to give advice.

    Best wishes.

  • Hi many thanks for your reply, unfortunately he’s been given months rather than years. He’s got mestatic lung cancer with a brain aneurysm as well. As you can imagine we’re devastated it’s very hard to watch losing him bit by bit every day

    regards

  • When I think, I had bowel "C" then lung "C" and I'm feeling fine now. I'm shortly going for a walk to the club for a few pints. Then I read your story. My heart goes out to you.

  • Thank you jagman, glad you’re feeling fine now that’s great, go and have your few pints enjoy them in this lovely weather.
