I’ve recently undergone surgery that removed a tumour and half of my lung.. still in denial and no man’s land, feeling very insecure with the whole situation.. how are you guys coping?
Hi Maria58 welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. All cancer diagnoses are terrifying, and you have had major surgery so I am not surprised you are feeling vulnerable. The physical scars may heal, but the mental scars are harder to see. Take it one day at a time. Talking here does help, but you may also want to join a support group. Do you have a maggies centre near you? These are usually attached to the hospital. you can also find local services from MacMillan in the in your area section which you can find at the bottom of this page.
The important thing to remember is that how you are feeling right now is completely normal. You are not alone, we are here to support you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
