Hi Folks,
Can anyone advise how long after Lung cancer biopsy happening you can expect to hear from medical team on treatment timelines and options?
Asking this for a friend who is currently going through the process and is starting to get really worried and upset just trying to help.
Hi guys sorry to interfere in your posts but my wife has a diagnosis of lung cancer in right lung with a 7.8 cm tumor also spread to lymph nodes and thyroid gland. So far she has had a bronchoscopy and an ultra sound guided aspiration needle on a node both of which failed to obtain a biopsy. She now has an appointment with an oncologist on the 19th February previously was seen by a thoracic consultant. My question is what is an Ebos it sounds like a different way of getting a biopsy. I am just trying to gain some insight into what other possible options there are. Hope you all all get the results you want and a favourable outcome
Hi summersdad, Ebus is short for Endobronchial ultrasound scan and biopsy. I will attach an information sheet below for you about the procedure. If you click on the link it will take you to the page.
Thanks Chelle that's useful to know
Best wishes Dave
