Endocrine Tumour In Lung

Hello!

Just wanted to introduce myself. My nightmare journey started in June 2023 when I was given the bombshell news that I had womb cancer. Although I had a family history of cancer I was shocked as I did not expect the cancer to be located there. I agreed to a fully hysterectomy and this was done in early July all successfully. However during the pre op checks, they had to do an X ray of my chest and lungs. And this became a CT Scan and MRI scan and then post op a Pet Scan. About 20 minutes before my hysterectomy I had a classic Eastenders duff duff moment when I got called into the surgeons office and was told they had found something in my lungs and were pretty sure it was lung cancer. As you can imagine I was totally floored and was grateful for being knocked out soon afterwards.

Post op I had an endoscopy and about a fortnight ago I got the results back to advise I had two tumours in my lung. And it's a rare form of tumour. Endocrine tumour. One under the windpipe and another in my right lung. The one under my windpipe is the size of a lime. Now I am waiting for news from one of the leading cancer hospitals in the UK about what happens next. I am told it can be removed surgically. And of course I am likely to have either chemo or radiotherapy post op for the womb cancer and now this blasted lung tumour.

I am just starting 8 weeks post op from the hysterectomy. But ever since the bronscopy for my lungs I have been coughing more and more. And I am worried. What happens next? What can I expect? I would welcome all advice!
