Hi..new in this section. Hubby has suspected lung cancer

Hi everyone. I'm not new to Macmillan forum, I had a nephrectomy due to kidney cancer in 2019 and you guys helped me more than I can say xx I'm back because my husband has suspected lung cancer. He has a cough, an initial xray showed all clear. Still had a cough, saw a gp we think new to the gp practice who said ' maybe they missed something' and ordered another xray. This showed up a shadow on his lung. Since then he's had an mri scan, then a pet ct scan and then a bronchoscopy( ? scuse spelling) where they took a sample. That was last week. Had a phonecall today to go see the consultant on Monday. You guys here were fab at helping me through my own journey, looks like I'll be needing you yet again. Tc x

Hi Ethelmay and welcome to the group, but so sorry to hear about your husband. It seems so cruel when you have been through this once already yourself. I hope you are well now?

I can imagine how you are feeling about this appointment on Monday. I hope it goes well for him. Please let us know how he gets on. x

Thankyou so much Chelle, will let you know. Its so good to be intouch with the group, I found it so helpful when I was dealing with my own cancer. You dont feel as though you're dealing with things alone, there's always someone to talk to Xx
