I found out I had small cell lung cancer that had spread to my bones liver and colon I find it hard to believe as I feel really good I have had 3 round of chemotherapy and last on will take place on16 feb I haven’t had any bad affects from chemotherapy still so iv been told that I have months to live but if. I. Take chemotherapy I’ll have a bit longer that was in December as far as am aware the chemotherapy is all the treatments I’ll be having could anyone else  say if they had any other treatment

  • Hi Matt63 and welcome to the group, but very sorry you find yourself here.  It is so hard for any of us to say if you will be offered any other treatment or not, as everyone's cancer is different, and people respond differently to treatment. The only one who can answer that question for you is your oncologist. As you are coming up to finishing the chemotherapy,  I guess your oncology team will be arranging a scan to see how well the treatment has responded.

There is also another support group you may want to join. The living-with-incurable-cancer-forum is a very supportive group with lots of people with all types of cancer, and many have metastatic spread to the bones and liver, so they fully understand what you are going through.

If you have a moment it will be very helpful if you can put some details about yourself on Your profile This is very helpful for others to see your journey, and see if they are on the same treatment plan. You just click on your username then select profile. You can edit this information at anytime, and update the journey as you go.  You can have a look at my profile to get some idea, just click on my user name or picture to go to my profile.

    Take care
