Hi all. I was diagnosed with cancer five years ago and all was going well until I had to have gamma knife to my brain. I have now had no treatment for six months due to being unwell and my anxiety levels are through the roof. Does anyone have any experience to help me get through this while I wait for someone to organise a scan.

many thanks

  • Hi Debbo58 and welcome to the group. I am sorry to hear that you have not been well enough to continue with any treatment.  Anxiety effects us all, especially when waiting for a scan and results. The waiting and wondering is very difficult. Talking does help, and this group is so supportive, as every one here is on their own cancer journey.   Anxiety UK are also a source of support for people struggling with anxiety.

If you have a moment it will be very helpful if you can put some details about yourself on Your profile This is very helpful for others to see your journey, and see if they are on the same treatment plan. You just click on your username then select profile. You can edit this information at anytime, and update the journey as you go.  You can have a look at my profile to get some idea, just click on my user name or picture to go to my profile.

    Take care
