Treatment plan

Hi Phebeyt and welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. The first weeks really are a rollercoaster. It’s good you have had all of your tests now, it just depends on how long the biopsy will take. Your team will then hold an MDT meeting and decide on the best plan of action for you.  I think it depends on what area you are in as to how quickly the biopsy report will be done. I’ve heard some people say it’s been a few days, others a couple of weeks. The waiting is awful I know. 

Hello Phebeyt, I echo Chelle's comments. Unfortunately there isn't a great deal to be done until they come back with an action plan tailored to your particular type of cancer. There are some fantastic immunotherapy drugs now available - I myself am on Tagrisso (a TKI). At your next meeting I would suggest taking someone with you who can take notes and support you as, quite often, you forget what questions you wanted to ask until after the consultation - I know I did and I'd even written some of them down. It's difficult to imagine but once you know what the treatment plan is you will have something to target and focus on. We are all here to support you
