My mum has recently been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma. She has been so tired, losing weight and little appetite. She has still to get PET and MRI scan but I am really worried about her. She sleeps a lot.
she has been given a steroid which has given her a little boost but she is still far from herself. Will she get through chemo and radiotherapy when feeling like this.
Hi there, my mum has lung cancer which has spread to some other parts of her body. I know for my mum she really struggles with sleeping at the moment although that is actually due to the steroid tablets. We have reported this back to the oncologist a few times and they have recently prescribed her with sleeping tablets which do help a little.
One thing I do notice is that while my mum is going through chemo treatment she sleeps for most of the day and night without any issues. Fatigue is part and parcel with the treatment though and it takes her around a week and a big to get back on her feet.
Take care
Sean
