I have NSCLC, diagnosed a year ago. I had radiotherapy and chemotherapy and was halfway through a year of immunotherapy. My treatment has been put on hold as I have developed ulcerative colitis, considered to be a side effect of immunotherapy. I have missed 4 rounds of immunotherapy so far.  I would be grateful if anyone else could share their experience if they have found themselves in a similar situation. Thank you!

    1. Hi Lilly
    2. I can understand how worried this makes you feel.
    3. I had to stop Durvalumab after the 4th cycle due to pneumonitis, it was really bad and I agreed with my oncologist that it was best to stop.
    4. He said that the main treatment is chemoradiotherapy which I think you must have had?
    5. Anyway,I'm 8 months post Durvalumab and my CT scans have shown no progression.
    6. I want you to know that standard treatment is still your best option, you have every chance of a good response.
    7. Best wishes to you
  • Hi Chances,

Thank you so much for your response.
Yes, I had radiotherapy alongside chemotherapy from end December to mid March.
I now have a scan booked in for January and will see the Oncology team a few weeks after that. Meantime, I am thankful to be looked after by a wonderful Gastro team.
Wishing you all the best on your journey.
