After having my lobectomy on the 13th of September today I’ve been given the news all cancer cells were dead. And I’m all clear . Have a safety net in place for the next five years of scans every six months . It’s been a long road to get to this point but I’m elated. I did have many doubts and fears for the past year and still don’t quite believe my news today. I wish everyone all the best with your treatments.
Great news - congratulations.
If you think about it, you're better off now than most people out there. Some of them will get cancer but aren't getting scans at all and might not find out until too late. Getting to all-clear made getting cancer in the first place a blessing in disguise.
kind regards
Steve
Hi Steve , my friend told me the same thing she said " they are keeping an eye on you , but I or anyone could be walking about with cancer and we won't know till it's maybe too far on but you are being scanned every 6 months , so they'd catch it early in you " so yes in a way it is a blessing in disguise .
Take care x
Sandra
