Hi ive had lung cancer for 5 years. After chemo for 2 years I got C K D so chemo had to stop. So I've had no treatment for my lung cancer for 3 years .my lung cancer is stable it can't be cured or operated on. I have now started to worry that I've survived 5 years will I continue to survive . Not like me as I'm a very positive person. But it keeps coming back to niggle at me.

  • Hello Foliocarol

I was diagnosed with lung cancer December 2020 and completed a treatment plan of approximately 2 years in march this year, if you tap my user name you can read my profile. Since then I have continued with the 3 months CT scan and so far all is stable. Like you I worry about how long this will continue and just like you I am normally a very positive person, I to can't be operated on or cured.

I don't think there's a definitive answer to this so I try not to stress to much about it and accept that it's okay to have the odd niggle about it, I think that's what makes us human. I'm so pleased I came across your post, perhaps we could support each other through this and keep in touch, at least I now know I'm not the only one with these thoughts.

Have a lovely day and please keep in touch I'm happy to chat about anything positive or negative. I've sent you a friend request if you accept it we can message each other directly.

  • Hi thanks for your lovely message .I've accepted your friend request xx

  • Hi

Happy to support if it helps specially as we share the same concerns. I feel exactly as you do. I think because there's so much unknown, like what happens next, how do we know if things have changed, specially if there was no symptoms in the first place etc, and the questions keep coming and we keep stressing.

I am pleased you accepted the request, we can chat anytime.

    Have a lovely day

    Donna
