Hi all
Just update on my mum. Had pet scan which showed couple warm areas in jaw and colon along with the hot spot in lung. After having colonoscopy and seen by maxillofacial team those warm areas are all clear. So forward on to her biopsy which she had on 1/7/24.The lung nodule is 1.6cm and doesn’t seem to be any node involvement. Think they took 3 or 4 biopsies including node to check. Just asking advice on how long biopsy results take. My mum seems to be doing quite well at the moment
Thank you all

Hi I guess it’s down to the individual hospital as to how fast they move. They had my biopsy results back within a few days but an appointment to see consultant was nearly two weeks . As it’s all discussed with an MDT Team prior to seeing you as what treatment can be offered. You will also get to see an oncologist and probably a thoracic surgeon . As from when treatment would commence depends too on one test from your biopsy which they give some time to see if the tumor mutates. As this would lead to a different treatment being offered. Best of luck with everything x
