I was diagnosed with stage 3 small cell lung cancer in October 2023. I had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 3 weeks of radiotherapy twice a day. During treatment and for five weeks after I had energy and remained positive. It's been six weeks after the treatment now and I am feeling like a jelly baby. I feel exhausted all the time, my muscles are weak, i have difficulty going up and down stairs, I stumble while walking. I seem to have little control over how my body moves. My joints feel weak and wobbly. I am told that I should regain strength in the next few weeks. Has anyone else been through this? How did you cope? How long did it last?
Hi Hairy Mary sorry you are not feeling great at the moment. Having chemo and radiotherapy is an awful lot to put your body through, but I wonder if you have had a blood test since feeling like this ? It might be worth asking someone in your medical team about this.
