  • Hi Alwayslate, I had this combination of chemo, I did have a couple of hospital admissions during my cycles 1st time was after my 1st session of cysplatin and vinorilbine they decided the dose was to much for me so they reduced the cisplatin after that it wasn't as bad still nauseous but not as bad. 2nd cycle was my own fault I got dehydrated  so learnt to drink plenty of water, appetite was pretty poor so they gave me boxes of Ensure to give me the nutrients I needed. I then started 6 weeks of Radiotherapy., then that was followed by Immunotherapy for 12 months.

Happy to say 2 years after being diagnosed  my cancer is stable get ct scan every 6 months, next one due May. Hope this helps it's not plain sailing but you will get there, oh and I didn't lose my hair it did thin a bit but not to bad . Take care and chin up

    1. Thank you evelyn  how did they  get  your dosage  wrong I thought  it went by your weight

  • What they said was that as I was so weak and underweight my body couldn't cope with the doseage of cisplatin even though it was correct for my weight they adjusted it slightly so I wouldn't be so ill. I was worried jncase it would not be as effective  but they said they make allowances should they have to reduce it.

  • Thank you for you reply hope  you are well
