Hi I have got sclc, I had my 3rd lot of chemo last Thursday and had a Magneseum drip the day after because my bloods have been abnormal.
So all I have got left to take is 1 antibiotic and finish the course of water tabs I am on then I get a rest from tablets until my next lot of chemo in a week and half.
How do you feel after chemo? I am very tired all the time no energy upper back pain I get short of breath feel dizzy at times when I stand up and feel nauseous.
Hi Scorpio2 I haven’t had chemo myself, but family members have, and your side effects sound very familiar. Hopefully someone else will be along soon to share their chemo experience with you.
My husband has had his 3rd chemo session 9 days ago. He seems to come home reasonably well, with a normal appetite and more energy but we gather that’s the steroids. Then towards the end of the 3rd day he flags completely. Absolutely no energy and poor appetite. He is also very breathless. He also has had a very itchy rash all over. 2 weeks ago this improved with antihistamine tablets and zero base cream but yesterday it has flared up again. He has very little feeling in his fingertips.
I hope this helps.
