I had two surgery for bot thyroid and lung cancer. I didn't have chemo/radiotherapy for the lung all was clear. I had my fallow up ct scan in December which show 1 new tiny nodule in my lung after consultation whit the doctor they told me is inflammatory nodule and I shouldn't worry. But is totally opposite all time I'm thinking about the worst what is pout, what will happen etc. From couple of months I feel like I stop to live, like I have bomb inside my body. I don't feel like to do anything or go anywhere. I'm wondering if someone here have similar stage, feeling
Hi Kasia1982 when you have had any cancer diagnoses, it is always in the back of your mind that it will come back. Even if you are told you are clear, you cannot get that little bit of doubt out of the back of your mind. As you have been told there is a nodule, I can completely understand why you will feel anxious about it. All we can do is trust our oncology team. They are the experts and if they say it is inflammatory then that is a positive thing.
Have you had any counselling since your cancer diagnoses. I think this will help you. Do you have a Macmillan centre or a Maggies near you that you can pop into. If not give the Macmillan team a call on 0808 808 00 00 who can help you with this.
When i was feeling very low, I started going out for small walks. It doesn't have to be far, but it is amazing how much better you can feel by going out. Maybe start off with little walks, and build it up.
Hope you start to feel more positive soon.
