Hi everyone I’ve got my appointment to go to the Freeman hospital on the 30th of January at 11am at the Radiotherapy department does anyone know what is going to happen at my first appointment..? At my first appointments for when I had breast cancer I can’t remember I’m not sure but that was breast cancer so it might be different with my lung cancer. And this may sound as if I’m cracking up but my lung cancer is T1 so it hasn’t spread so is it proper cancer? Or is there no such thing as proper cancer? I’m finding it hard to explain I’m not very good at reading or writing or explaining things or is cancer then it’s cancer? I always knew my cancer would come back it was just a question of where and when it would show up I just don’t know what to make of all this then I think what if they have read my PT CT Scans wrong and it’s not cancer will I get told off from the doctor for wasting their time? I’m 61 years old have copd, emphysema, glaucoma, depression, anxiety and brittle bones because of my breast cancer it sounds worse than it is when it’s written down on paper but I know my body and know what I can do and how to do it I do things differently now to how I used to do them I used to drive but because of my health conditions the doctors told me I couldn’t drive anymore so my hubby and daughter does all the driving now . My poor son Arron lost his battle with alcohol in 2015 he was only 33 years old I’ve never getting over this I’m sure I’m going on too much about nothing I would just like to know what to expect at this first appointment please and sorry for going on my lovelies love Yvonne xx

  • Hi, my names Tracy I'm 50 with 2 grown up sons. I have had lung cancer twice had operations to remove didn't need any other therapies as it was early stages , they may just be giving you other options.if your healthy and no serious health problems they told me surgery was best option , try stay positive as there's soo much these specialists can do as it's at early stage x
