Hi, my partner had lobectomy for lung cancer in October. He is experiencing gurgling when he lies down. Has anyone experienced this? He wonders if he should let the lung cancer nurse about this.
thsnk you
Given that the first symptom I got from lung cancer was not being able to do handwriting, I would have to say Full Disclosure to the doctors, whether it seems relevant or not. If it isn't relevant they are free to ignore, but if it is then you won't be left wondering if you should have mentioned it. Good doctors should welcome this.
kind regards,
Steve
He should absolutely let his team know. I have had many odd sensations since my surgery and most of them happen when I move in specific ways. While none are significant, being warned they might happen would have been nice.
Letting his team know gives them the opportunity to explain what's going on and investigate further if that's warranted.
