Hi all
Just a little update. I'm now 7 weeks post surgery for an upper lobe lobectomy on my right lung.
Having spoken with my surgeon last week I need no more treatment. I just wanted to share this with you as there are happier endings. I have an appointment in January next year for another scan. They will do these for five years.
Hopefully I'll keep on this track and I'm hoping others will be on it with me.
Thanks for reading
Xx
Hi Olli, that really is fantastic news, congratulations. Good news like this always lifts our spirits. x
Delighted for you! I am 4 weeks post same op. Been going short walks, trying to build up. But last couple of days been so sore I'm zonked on morphine and in bed. Did you have anything like this? X
Hi Cycleoldlady, I'm 7 weeks post op, I was really sore and had to take morphine round about the same time 4 weeks, as I was pushing myself, but now I've started back playing walking football and no painkillers. Are you on target chemo 1 tablet per day
Hi, no morphine after the first few days and no pain relief after a month but did tire easily. I push myself in these situations and did pay for it on times with extreme fatigue. One day at a time and listen to your body.
No radiotherapy and chemotherapy needed they have said. I'm a very lucky girl so far. X
