I was diagnosed with lung cancer about a year ago. Was put on immunotherapy but unfortunately it didn't work. Been on 4 cycles of chemo and oncologist was really pleased with results, Tumour has shrunk and so have mets. I have been on maintenance chemo and even that has shown some more shrinkage. Oncologist wants me to take a break after next 2 cycles, So my body can recover.
That’s really good news, long may it continue.
Hi Big Al
Well done you! Please make sure during this 'break' that you do look after yourself.
Thank you for posting this good news; for those going through chemo or newly diagnosed, it is beaming light at the end of what can be a long dark tunnel.
Thats really good news. Can I ask what chemo you were on?
Pemetrexed and Carboplatin. and maintenance pemetrexed
Ah.. I had two cycles of that combination but didnt work.
Good news - keep it going
