Finally got results & couldnt have been better.
Oncologist said all stable, no further spread. Lymph nodes have shrunk & the tiny dot in brain left from cyberknife, still shrinking.
Oncologist said after just 2 immunotherapies, shes very happy with everything. Hubby got a bit upset, as it was a relief after the wait.
So relieved.....x
That is great news Tillyboo I am so pleased for you both. X
Thank you. We both came out for a drink. The relief xx
Thank you. He couldnt speak when call came through, I put it on speaker. His eyes just welled up & it took every breath in my body not to break down. For a few hours friends messaging, sun shininng I had prob one glass more of wine! He had 3 shandies. But just that feeling, theres hope, celebrate that xx
That is great news hope you are feeling better too had hubby,s scan at end of may after last full chemo started on maintenance dosage so dropped the Carbaplatin but they misread his blood results so had to give him a transfusion as he was anemic went to clinic today and go results which shows the tumours in his lungs are shrinking
Oh brilliant news about the shrinking tumours!!!
My hubbys side affects are very little now, painful joints after Zometa, the odd nausea. But the fatigue seems to have dropped.
His only problem are his swollen ankles/calves which isnt cancer related. Onco said to see GP as his BP kept dropping & to do a med review. It turns out Amlodipine one of his BP meds causes ankle swelling. So that was stopped on Monday, its just waiting watching & doing BP 3 times a day.
He seems to think theres a slight decrease in the ankles, but still hard to walk esp as he had a stroke, so the stroke affected leg as always been slightly swollen. So his getting drop foot back due to the fluid on the ankle. Hopefully all goes down!
I go to gynae on the 21st as my scans showed up "something" so being checked for uterine/ovarian cancer.
I keep saying 2025 the year that keeps on giving!!
I wish you both well & cont shrinkage for hubbys tumours xx
