Hi all, since yesterday morning I have had a raspy chest, it feels like I should be able to cough up phlegm but there is nothing to cough up. It is quite noisy on both the inhale and exhale. I mentioned it to cancer nurse yesterday, but as temperature was fine and no other symptoms she wasn't concerned. It's definitely on left side where the cancer. Is this normal or should I be doing more about it?  X

    Hi GSD

How are you feeling now? If you are not reassured or it is getting worse please phone your nurse or GP again for what to do.

Not sure if this is normal or not as we are all so different.

I do hope you are feeling better now.

Hi Gina, thanks for your reply, can I just say you are amazing! I read all the posts, comments and advice you give others when you have your own troubles to be dealing with. You are an inspiration and the world would be a better place if everyone knew a Gina.

As for raspy chest, spoke to SCN today while I was getting immunotherapy, she didn't seem shocked or unduly worried about it, just one of these things I guess. So all well,, that's the 3rd immunotherapy out of the way, got 3 month scan next week and have what I've seen others describe on here as scaniety.... Never mind, it will come and go and move forward with whatever is necessary... Hope you are keeping well and safe xx

    Ahh I will Blush GSD

Good to hear the nurse was not too concerned and hoping it will ease for you.

You are so right about the scanxiety. I always seem to 'notice' symptoms more in the run up too. They feel ever so real.

Good luck for your scan next week and let us know when you have had it and are ready what they say.

Cathy - I am so sorry to read that they have postponed yours. I know this will make you anxious. I guess trying to think of it is that they are expecting not much to happen/change for you so they are hoping they are anticipating stable or better. If it really makes you nervous and if you can afford it, you could consider getting a private scan?
