Hi all

I know there is a lot of worry over the new C bomb being dropped all over the place. This thread is being set up to keep that word off this particular thread to help people that are possibly in self isolation.

So I think we should kick it off we should post our favourite place or places to visit. We may be restricted on where we can travel, but we can go anywhere in people's pictures Slight smile

I will leave it open till end of Friday then pass the batton on to someone else to open a new post on this thread, first suggestion first served, something of interest to them. If nothing posted by 10am Saturday, I will re put my thinking cap back on.

So I guess I should post a picture or two to start it off.

  • Hi Chelle,

Cant say ive been watching anything of interest, couldn’t if I wanted to, this little dog of mine thinks I’ve sat down just to throw toys for herJoy Although as it’s Sunday it’s wall to wall Columbo, I love Columbo and probably could repeat every episode for you word for wordSee no evilJoy

  • Hi Chelle

We’re watching the Last Kingdom on Netflix and it’s very good. We’ve been recommended knots and crosses but don’t think hubby will watch that. He likes old detectives and movies but its nice to watch something together.

Julie mentioned Colombo and that so reminds  me of my mum. She was addicted to Colombo- I used to wonder if she quite fancied him Joy. She did love a detective novel too.

very sad to see so many in our parks this weekend although not surprised. Not everyone is listening but all it will do is prolong this agony!

Spring is definitely in the air in Jersey Stuck out tongue

I have to go out in an hour or so, so I will walk slowly there Laughing

  • Hi Gina

sounds lovely. Do you not have to self isolate. We’re not allowed to leave the house to follow the govt guidelines.

anyway enjoy your walk and stay safe

Yes we are allowed out for essential reasons like medical appointments, pharmacy, essential food shopping and randomly 2 hours max if anytime left after the above as exercise..

As i said in the my previous post, I had to go out today... as it's treatment day. I got the chair in the sunshine Sunny️

But we don't mention that on this thread as the whole point of me setting of this thread was a distraction from all that.

  • Hi Gina

    Thats lovely.

i didnt realise you got your immunotherapy locally. That’s perfect.

Your hospital is within walking distance then which is great for you. Hope treatment goes well. I see what your saying about the thread. I’m learning!

Yes, only thing we can't do in Jersey is major surgeries, radiotherapy or PET scans which we go usually to Southampton for or London as they have more specialist/equipment than us.

I can't drive as brain tumours suspended my licence nearly on a year ago. So it's buses, taxis or walk. Hospital is about a 20 minute walk each way from my home.

  • Look at you sitting there in the sun,

I went to lunch in Jersey todayGrin The only TV programmes I don’t watch are cooking programmes but James Martin was doing a programme from Jersey so I joined him and admired the views, he was at a restaurant on the sea front but as it was a couple of hours ago I can’t remember where he was See no evilJoy

  • Me and Bella have been in our usual spot this afternoon. We were in the garden, but Bella kept barking at the dogs next door, so we came in to watch some more life on Mars. Although I’ve watched it before, it was quite a long time ago, so I am enjoying it, and the 70’s music.
