Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell 5 weeks ago.
Lung cancer was never on my radar as I had a chest x ray 13 months ago and everything was clear, and stopped smoking 15 years ago although I did slip up 5 years ago and was having the occasional social one over a few months.
I was admitted to A&E with severe back pain and as soon as the biopsy came back I I had spinal cord decompression surgery and spine stabilisation.
I feel well in myself and have no breathing issues as the module was only 14mm and only in one lung however after an initial steady recovery I’m experiencing a lot of hip and thigh pain in one leg.
Sorry from the limb pain which at times can be excruciating I don’t feel any different from how I felt this time last year.
i have my first appointment with oncology tomorrow and a spinal follow up on Wednesday so a big week ahead which is worrying.
Has anyone had a similar diagnosis to me?
