Hello All
I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.
I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?
I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up
He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.
Hi Derek
I do hope you had a good night sleep. Like Colin I wondered if Oramorph might be worth a try. There is nothing worse than facing the day already tired.
I know you don’t like taking tablets, and I am a bit like that too. I spent about 2 years not sleeping well, through anxiety. Refused sleeping tablets. Then doctor prescribed amitriptlyne for my head aches, which knock me out, and I’ve never slept so well.
hi colin i had the liquid oramorph when first ill as couldn't stop couching. worked for me but knocked it on the head when chemo started working. maybe get some if things don't settle down. thank you.
Thankyou Chelle, your kind words mean a lot and I know you all have your own problems to deal with. By the way, my name is Sue.
I've been absent from the forum for a couple of weeks and am sorry to read that some members have been having a few problems and that others are anxious about results. No matter how often we are told, we cannot help but be nervous & impatient to know what's happening on our journey. I can only reiterate that it is normal to be upset and unable to settle to anything whilst you are in limbo with tests.
On a slightly different tack, I've been away for a couple of weeks on holiday in Italy. (MIA travel insurance was excellent - yes, I did post on the Travel Insurance Group..).
Whilst I was away I purposely didn't look at the forum and found that I forgot about my cancer. (I am fortunate at the moment because I do not have much in the way of symptoms to remind me). I think that a change of scene is good for all of us if we can manage it, albeit an afternoon out or going away for a few days if possible. Sometimes just discovering what is near where you live can be interesting & distracting.
I had wanted to post a picture to help cheer you all up, but fumble-fingers coupled with a new laptop didn't prove possible to do so. I do not post here a great deal but do like to check & see how everyone is.
With good wishes & kind thoughts to all in this particular corner of the community.
Artemisa
