Hello All
I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.
I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?
I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up
He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.
Hi Gina
no it was nobody specific on immunotherapy. It’s just that when I try to join the chat thread I never seem to find it! Probably my poor techo!
good news is I’m getting home with oral antibiotics. I really felt there was a risk they were going to keep me in
Hi Nel, I’m glad to see you are going home, and that the drain wasn’t too bad.
Darlo, I really hope they get this sorted for you soon.
3 month is a very long time no wonder your not feeling like things ain't good hopefully your lovely Doctor will get you sorted and don't forget this great group is right behind you through thick and thin.
Hi all, hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread... Just when talking immunotherapy, I'm due 2nd lot on Monday, got blood tests this morning, chemo nurse called to say infection markers are high so wanted to know how I was, if I had itchy, swollen hands or feet, if I coughing phlegm, if it burnt when I go to loo, what stools were like etc. Answered no and fine to them all. They say they will call again Monday morning to check if I'm to go, but if I feel even slightly differently during weekend I'm to call special cancer number. Back still aching, and chest still sore, this is nothing new tho... Anyone else had similar? X
Hi Gsd,
Ive never had problems with infection markers but always have a problem with cortisol levels and always have to have cortisol test redone the next day but it always comes back ok. They did actually call me in the other week to have a test to see if my adrenal glands were working ok and it came back that they were. I had my bloods done last Wednesday and they phoned Thursday, cortisol was low but this time I didn’t have to have it redone leaving it till I have my treatment but same instructions if don’t feel well go to hospital. Maybe they’ll just redo your bloods on Monday before your treatment, they’ve done that with me before now, do they know about the sore chest. They may give you a corse of antibiotics and delay treatment for a week, you may get the antibiotics and still get your treatment I’ve had both in the past.
Hi - I’m awaiting date for 2nd immunotherapy that they’ve delayed twice due to infection. Frustrating as Bronchoscopy clear and Bloods good yet my infection markers are up. But where is the infection. My temperature today spiked at 38.2 while I was in waiting for drain for first time. They’ll test the fluid but all seemed good. I’m sure as anything I want to get my next immunotherapy but I do recognise that they want you fit. Good luck with it and hope yours goes ahead as planned. In the unlikely event they postpone dont worry. They’ll only do what best for you xxx
So this morning i had a knock at my door. It turned out to be biblical people wanting to talk to me about the coronavirus, did i think ill health would ever be eradicated and offering me their phone to hear what the bible has to say about it all....
Luckily I was on a good mood and refrained from retorting that it probably didn't suggest going round knocking at random people's doors and potentially spreading the virus wasn't the wisest move of all then
Well we’ve had the floods, got the plague and the famine is on its way cos they’ve stripped the shelves bare in the supermarkets - oh and I forgot the locust in India as Maggie would say - prayers for us all
