Hi all, My husband was diagnosed with Alk lung cancer in June 2023 following a kidney cancer diagnosis. He has had several major health issues since but he has been on Alectinib since April last year, half dose with amazing results. Fast forward to three weeks ago and he had a stroke. The stroke affected his speech and language but he is getting there with that and stroke wise the hospital are happy. The main issue now is that they have discovered a heart issue that needs a pacemaker but the cardiologists won’t fit one as he consistently shows high levels of infection (CRP) and inflammation (ESR) They have done every test, scan and blood test under the sun and cannot find the source of this infection and they are now thinking it could be a side effect of his cancer. So I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue. The hospital are waiting on oncology commenting but they are taking a bit of time so I am just looking for some light at the end of a very long, miserable tunnel. Thanks in anticipation x
