I did write a comment yesterday, but cant remember what group I wrote in.
As anyone ever suffered extreme pain after having a first zometa infusion? My hubby had hus 2nd Keytruda on Friday along with his first Zometa & was in agony for 48 hrs.
The lung nurse & oncologist said they've never heard of anyone having pain to that extreme.
Its all settled now, but wondered if anyone else as experienced an intense pain spike after Zometa?
Hi Tillyboo
Just to let you know that you made your post in the bone cancer forum here
I’m sorry I don’t have the relevant experience to answer your question, but it might be more likely to get a response here in the lung group from patients on the same treatment as your husband.
Sarah xx
Hi Tillyboo I’m glad to see your husband has started zometa at last, but sorry to hear about the pain he experienced. My sister had zometa also known as zoledronic acid, and she experienced very bad flu like symptoms including achy bones after her first treatment. It did get easier for her as the treatment went on, the side effects became less, so hopefully it won’t be as bad next time.
