Breathless after lung cancer

I am still breathless 5 weeks after my lung OP cant even put my fire on as it takes all the air out of room so I put my dressing gown on and use a hot water bottle and leave window open is it normal to still be breathless 5 weeks after OP I am doing all my exercises but struggling

Hi Alwayslate, have you spoken to anyone in your medical team about this? When is your post op appointment?

Had my post OP appointment and was told it will ease eventually it could take 3 months or more so I'm stuck with it they said it was a big operation and it will take months the Macmillan have said the same I just dont know how long but its causing me big problems

Bless you, it sounds awful for you. I have no personal experience with this, but there are a few people in the group that have a similar operation to you. There was a discussion about this a couple of days ago, you can see the thread by clicking HERE there is some really good advice from some members there.

If you feel that your breathing gets suddenly worse, please call 111 immediately. x
