Hello everyone hope you are all doing ok .
My husband has non small cell lung cancer with secondary on the brain , the lung is stable but the brain cancer is progressive .
he has had whole brain radiotherapy and now immunotherapy every 3 weeks.
He has started to get side effects but not sure from what , slight nausea, butterfly’s in tummy and loss of taste (not COVID) along with hating the smell of food .
anyone else experienced these side effects ?
stay safe and well
Fran
Hi Fran. I am so sorry to hear that your husband is going through this. I haven't had immunotherapy myself, and I am sure someone will be along soon to share their story with you. In the meantime I have found this booklet, which I though might help.
Eating problems during treatment
It must be so hard for him, if he doesn't like the smell of food, I can understand why he wouldn't want to eat it. Maybe a call to his oncology team? They might be able to put you in touch with a dietician.
Wishing you both all the best x
