Think I've got to go for daily sessions over a period of 20 days.
Hospital is 30 miles away.
Is it OK to drive after this treatment?
Hi Johnoo. I'm not from this group, but did have 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy for my bladder cancer. Also had a 60 mile round trip to hospital. I was offered the services of the NHS volunteer ambulance car service, who transported me daily, and is a free service here in the NW. In the early days, I would have been fine driving, but as the weeks went by, I became more tired with the treatment and motorway driving while feeling a bit drowsy would not have been ideal. I hope all goes well with your treatment. Best wishes.
Hi Johnoo
As long as you feel well enough then yes you can drive, Rember thogh that this decision is your responsibility.
Do you have a friend, family member or neighbour who would be willing to drive you, especially when you get into the second half of the treatment?
