Yes I am posting to the correct group. Just thought I'd share my recent hospital adventure, in particular how important it is to keep on eye on your what your body is doing. I recently experienced blood in the urine and stared passing clots. A referral to the urologist under the 2 week rule resulted in the removal of a small bladder cancer - thankfully not metastatic of the lung cancer - the NHS were very quick and efficient in scheduling procedures etc. What was interesting was that one risk factor cited on the NHS web site is having had radiotherapy to that area and having cisplatin and I have ticks in the box for both, but not any other risk factors mentioned. Another ology to add to my list!
You never know what's round the corner in life waiting to surprise you.
Hi Agnieska, so sorry to hear you have had a bladder cancer. How lucky are we though that with our NHS you could be seen so quickly and get it removed.
You are quite right, we should be aware of our bodies, and any change should be checked. It is scary how quickly our lives can change, on a spin of a coin.
I hope you have recovered from your op and are feeling well.
Take care x
