I'm due to have one in a fortnight at Birmingham. They will do a biopsy at the same time.

Has anyone had the same procedure?

  • Hello ,

I'm not exactly sure if I had this (or even if it was available) when I was diagnosed in 2014. I do however recall having a diagnostic bronchoscopy procedure under general anaesthetic so who knows?

I guess you've been provided with information on the procedure in advance, but if not (and you want to read it) a link to it is below.

I'm sure someone who's had the procedure will be along soon with their experience of it.

I hope it goes well for you and leads to successful completion of investigaton and treatment.

    Derek.

  • Hi, i had this 3 weeks ago. It was actually fine. I was given sedation and painkiller through a canula. They spray your throat, which numbs it, it does taste horrible. I wasnt aware of anything after that. Had mine in shrewsbury,  the staff were amazing.
