Hello everyone. I am Chris. Like everyone here it has been tough few years for our family. Husband stage 4 prostate cancer with bone and lymph node metastases. Went through 10 rounds of docetaxel last one December 10, 2025. Contracted neutropenia and PJP. Recovered and followed up with radiation on 2 remaining lesions this past February. Recently found out in April through PSMA scan several PSMA positive lesions in bone and lymph nodes. And prostate adnecarcinoma in the liver……not a candidate for Pluvicto as there were no PSMA uptakes on the liver lesions. Biopsy confirm prostate liver cancer and not small cell liver cancer. Started on Cabazitaxel and Carboplatin cocktail 1st infusion yesterday. Very afraid and worried about everything from side effects, progression of disease to how best to support my husband. Would really appreciate any feedback on personal experiences with the 2 chemo cocktail infusion or liver cancer metastases in general. He is on a maintenance dose of atovaquone, had a nyvepria shot following chemo. I heard that the cocktail is extremely harsh and want to arm myself with as much information on how best to support him. Like all care givers I am sure I am not alone. Sleep does not come easy and the stress is high. And I stay strong in front of him. Appreciate any feedback. I quit my job to take care of him long term and this was the best thing I could have done. Trying to work and be a caregiver was way too challenging.  Thank you in advance.

  • Also I am very glad to be a member of this community, this is by far the most comprehensive one I have come across.
