Apologies if I rant, or ramble! I just need to get this off my chest. Tuesday local hospital had MDT with liver hospital. Phone call to say I’ve been referred back to them. I phoned and found out I was on liver hospital MDT today, and asked if possible for a call afterwards. Lovely nurse specialist rang to say one of the 3 tumours has grown. I spluttered and said, excuse me but I was told I only had 2, 1 of which the chemo had shrunk, and the other had disappeared. No apparently that is not the case. I now have 3 tumours, 2 I believe in the left lobe, and the third on the far right hand side in the back. I’m obviously upset and a bit bewildered to be honest. Now I’ve got to wait for a phone call to discuss options, but no idea when, as like everyone else they’ve got strikes to take into account! I’ve spoken to a Macmillan nurse tonight, who has sent me some links to information about surgery and ablation. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
It must have been very upsetting to get this news Jools63 and please feel free to have a good old rant anytime you want to!
I hope you don't have to wait too long to discuss your options.
((hugs))
Thanks latchbrook. Apparently, the consultants usually make the calls on a Tuesday. I’ve got an appointment with my oncologist this Tuesday morning, so am almost hoping it’s not at the same time! I really appreciate your response. We’re all so lucky to have you and the other Community Champions.️
