Hi everybody. I’m a 72 yr old male who experienced kidney stones last June. Apparently there was a narrowing of the Ureter which stopped the stone passing and it was found to be Urothelial Carvinoma.
The intention was then to remove the right kidney and urether. The day before the op and after further scans, I was called in to be told that the cancer had spread and it proved that I had bi lateral lung metastases and the op was cancelled and was referred to oncology.
I was started on Pembrolizumab/EV treatment in november and just on my ninth cycle.
First scan indicated good results and awaiting consultation for results of scan 2. Being a relatively new treatment I am apparently the lead patient at my hospital.
I am experiencing significant side effects, the worst being alteration of taste and heavily watering eyes. In addition, skin rash, loss of hair, numbness in fingers and toes, fatigue, slight unsteadiness, feeling cold. Is anyone else on this treatment and how are they getting on with it ?
Main thing is it’s keeping me alive so I try to keep positive although not always easy.

I've never heard of EV treatment. I had a quick google - doesn't look simple! It might help to expand further. I suppose if anyone is on it, they know! 
That's a lot of side effects though.

I use that line with a lot of things post C, not all C-related I think!
