My partial nephrectomy was scheduled for next Monday but has now been cancelled. I had sorted all my time off work, my partner had organised a week off and I had paid for a dog sitter. As a supply teacher I don't get paid if I don't work, but I had worked out that I wouldn't get paid for the 2 weeks of Christmas holiday anyway, but that was in the middle of my 8 weeks off after the op. Now, the op has been rescheduled to be on January 2nd, so need to get back to the teaching agency and rearrange everything, but it means I will have 2 weeks off before my op, then 8 weeks off after... no pay for 10 weeks ......really panicking about finances on top of everything else.
