I was told 3-5 days. Stayed in for 9 because they couldn't manage the pain very well for me and I also got an infection! Don't let them kick you out before 3 days as that is typically when any issues tend to rear their head - a tip from my nurse sister.
That is very odd. I would double check with your consultant or nurse team. They absolutely need to monitor your recovery and progress for a few days. Which NHS trust are you under?
This says 1-2 days after keyhole surgery and longer after open surgery. I would say those are minimum even if you are very young, very fit, and it all goes absolutely perfectly! Do not agree to be discharged until you feel ready.. I found you have to self-advocate and be politely firm.
I am 73 and overweight and unfit.! Be strong.. you will come out the other side, we just have to be patient. I am 10 weeks on. Do message me any time if it would ever help x
