Hi. I'm not new but I haven't posted anything before. I had my left kidney removed due to renal cell carcinoma in September 2021 and I'm now waiting for surgery to repair an incisional hernia which developed post surgery. I just wandered if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks, Heather
I have an incisional hernia after having open surgery on my kidney. Sadly it was repaired twice but came back, it cannot be repaired again 
I'm guessing I didn't rest as much as I should have after repair surgery, tried to get back to normality too soon....I'm an inpatient patient!
That kidney was removed 6 years ago, and now awaiting surgery to remove a tumour on my remaining kidney and hope I don't end up with a hernia that side 
Thank you for your reply Kittyslim that's so scary, the thought that it might come back after surgery to repair it . I'm having my 4th follow up CT today and it's a worrying time. I'm sorry to hear you are having surgery again .
