Hi,
I'm 8 weeks in, from a Radical Nephrectomy of my right kidney. After approx. 6 weeks, you should have an appointment with your Urologist. I had a telephone appointment. He will go through how it went, and the biopsy results should be there as well. He will probably tell you that you will have 6 monthly CT Scan to check you out. Hope this puts your mind at rest.
Hi John Paul I had mine out in March and they let me get a little better before I had another appointment. They rang me to rell me the size and told me what stage it was and then I went to see oncology approximately 8 weeks after the operation and one inbetween for urology take your time don't over do it take time for yourself hope you make a full recovery
2 months since my left kidney was removed. It was stage two cancer which hadn’t spread. At 6 weeks I had a telephone consultation with the consultant to say I’d only need 6 monthly CT scans. I’m still not 100% but I’m getting back to some physical activity. For the first six weeks I was absolutely poleaxed so I’m pleased to be back to feeling something more like normal.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
