  • Hi Milli,

welcome to this friendly club!  I had my kidney out 6 months ago and am doing fine x Any questions you have please do post them or if you just need to chat about how you are feeling then again just post and we will come back to you.

I have just read your profile piece…..it does seem as though you have had a rough year. It was lovely to see a photo of your family, it must have been a difficult year for them too.

Hope all goes well with your op.

Big hugs to you and your family,

    Jules x

    Hi Jules

many thanks for your supportive post hun Kissing heart we have tried to keep all close family informed as we go along the journey, there is a question I would like to ask but not sure if you can answer it do I need to let my life insurance company know regarding my diagnosis although it’s not teminal ?

many thanks for the positive comments and good luck in the future Kissing heart

  • Ooh that’s a good question………I didn’t know the answer, but have found something for you on a reputable site

    https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/coping/practically/money/life-insurance

    Hope that this helps.

    Best wishes, Jules x

  • There was also an article that said you didn’t need to tell the insurance company as they gave you the cover pre diagnosis so you don’t have to tell them

I have cut and pasted it below

The simple answer is no, you don't need to inform your life insurance provider of any health issues that have arisen since you took the policy out. The application is underwritten at the time you took out the policy and based on your health at that time.12 Jan 2022
