Hi

I am new to this group ( old in condition) and suffer from mastasticised kidney cancer , now advanced palliative care bone cancer affecting my spinal vertebrae , pelvis and rib cage predominantly. I was diagnosed in December 2017, kidney removed may 2018 and discovered spread through the normal screening process in December 18. I have now been living with currently contained bone tumours since then. I am on my second cheemo therapy ( pill form taken daily) drug treatment , have lost 7th vertebrae in my spine and use a walking stick now. My spirits are high, I am fighting the condition/ living with it in a positive mindset , have excellent palliative care support when required both with external care providers and oncology support . I am 57 yrs of age and have a motability vehicle which is now essential for my well-being and daily living. Does anyone within this form have mestastic secondary bone cancer resulting from original kidney cancer and how long on the journey are you now ?

  • Hi and welcome to the Online Community. I'm so glad to read your spirits are high and you're not letting this horrible disease get you down, plus you've got great support around you.

I'm not from this particular group as I have metastatic womb cancer so I can't answer your question but whilst waiting for some of the members here to answer might I suggest you join a couple of other groups to get further support and answers, just click on the links below to join.

Secondary bone cancer & Living with incurable cancer.

As I'm on palliative chemo I'm a member of the second group. We are all very supportive with a sometimes quirky sense of humour but all there to jump in and offer support when it's needed.

    Sending welcoming hugs, Barb xx
