I'm on immunotherapy every 2 weeks and anixinib tablets twice a day on my seventh cycle and on my last scan 4 lymph nodes are shrinking please stick with it and good luck had my kidney removed 2020 x
Thanks for responding . Mine is a long story so will brief as poss. Kidney and huge tumour removed in 2012- 13 inch arch shaped scar. Brilliant surgeon- gone onto the vena cava too. No treatment post op as chemo doesn’t work for renal cancer. All ok with 6 monthly scans until a chest X-ray in Sept 2020 showed it had spread to my lung- small node. Had it removed by keyhole in October 20. Scan 6 months later showed it had grown back. Was on observance for 3 months as can’t keep operating . It was 2.5 cm. Started immunotherapy and axitinib like you early Sept. 2021 every 2 weeks and tablets twice daily. After 2 sessions nodule had shrunk to 1.3 cm. Scan in Feb showed it was stable. Next scan in August . Had 16 sessions of fusion. Started on 10mg Axitinab but reduced to 6mg due to side effects . Reduced to 4 mg in March - lowest dose . Have had 2 breaks off both to give my body a rest. Restarted therapy 3 weeks ago and tablets last Wed(had 6 weeks off them) . Wonderful ..,felt almost normal !! Side effects have started off again since restarting . Very unusual apparently for cancer to return after 8.5 years . Apologies again for long response . Good luck and best wishes .
