Hi so I was told three weeks ago after an MRI on my back that there is a tumour on my left kidney. The back problem is from a fractured vertabrae that they believe has cancer in it and caused it to fracture. Right at the beginning of this journey and don’t have my biopsy until Friday. 99% positive and 1% petrified. Also have a swollen lymph node near my kidney. Time is dragging so very slowly just want to be at a point where they can give me a prognosis and a plan. Anyone got any good ideas on staying positive or picking myself up on down days?
thanks I’m advance
Hi there - you will notice a common theme in this forum - we have all been where you are now. We aren't good waiters! But we all come through it and survive. Each milestone you tick off is one step closer to a definitive way forwards. It's Wednesday now and so Friday is only 2 days away. You've already manged 3 weeks of this, so I know you can do 2 more days.
Tips? Take it a day at a time. Try not to think too far ahead, think in terms of "days" not "weeks". Try and do things and keep yourself busy. It's not easy. Look forward to a "high" when they phone to check your availability for an appointment or that letter arrives!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
