Cancer in both kidneys, lungs and adrenal gland.. saying hello to anyone else on this group. I am Scottish and living in Scunthorpe. Awaiting an appointment for a biopsy to determine what treatment is available. Anyone out there had experience of immuno drugs, chemo or whatever treatments I'm in for? Best Wishes to all.
Hi Erchie and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I don't have the experiences you're looking for but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. By responding to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the page where it'll be more easily seen.
While you're waiting for replies it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi, yeah, cancer in left kidney, spread to lungs. On immunotherapy (ipi/nivo) which has got control in 3 months and tumours apparently showing signs of shrinkage. Hope to see the pics soon - I've only seen the first one on diagnosis. I've responded so well to the immunotherapy that it has caused immune related adverse event and my kidneys are not coping. Hope to be back on track soon.
Chemo generally not used on kidney cancer as it's not effective. There's a lot of new treatments emerging. Don't forget to ask about trials if you live near a teaching hospital. It was a toss-up for me between a trial and the ipi/nivo, but I went for the safe option in the end. I'm in Fife but originally from Cambridgeshire. What else do you want to know?
Thank you Latchbrook for getting in touch. I see from your profile that you've had your ups and downs since finding that lump in 2016. I will put a wee bit more info on my profile as you suggested. Best wishes to you Latchbrook.
