Hi

Firstly let me wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and wish you all the very best for 2022.

I am about to approach that time of year again for myself it normally starts around November and I then speak to my consultant in January and due to covid this will be the second year over the phone. To be honest with you all my life stopped January 2019 when I had a partial nafrectomy(please excuse my spelling) as 2 weeks before that operation the done the final ct scan and got the bombshell dropped 1 week before to tell me I have the same on my right kidney.

Up until my operation my consultant's were 99% sure they were dealing with a cancerous cyst and that was confirmed by pathology.

So now my team know exactly that it is cancerous on the right the only god send I've got as I know it's sloe growing and getting watched closely by a great consultant in Glasgow.

Now I have a huge worry on my hands again as I had a heart attack in June 2020 one day I know they'll have to do a partial again or completely remove my right kidney but worry about being on blood thinners a small cut look like I've been cut up with the blood flow to kind of worried that I would bleed out or my heart couldn't take it.

Then I've got family saying be positive and look towards the future I'd like then to see do a week in my shoes they'd be begging to get there own shoes back.

I PRAY EVERY NIGHT FOR CANCER PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  • Very sorry that you are going through such a dreadful time and just hope that your consultant has something good to say when you speak to them in January.

I had my left kidney removed in August by key hole surgery but so far have been very lucky as it hasn't spread anywhere else.

    Take care of yourself

    Betty
